Novapay - Pay with your phone and support local businesses

Novapay is accepted at places Visa and Mastercard arent. Stores love it, so it is used at cash only or card minimum places.

Have you wondered why some stores have minimum credit card transactions or fees? Visa and Mastercard charge small businesses over $0.30+ every transaction. Novapay cuts out the middle men and provides a significant smaller fee.

This app is accepted at over 10 stores in UC Berkeley South Side. More restaurants will be added in the coming months.

This app is developed by Gerald Fong. He graduated from UC Berkeley studying EECS in 2.5 years (summa cum laude), and is working on this on the weekends. During the day, he works at Dropbox and writes code that touches millions of dollars per day. He has previously also worked at Stripe, a leading payments startup, and wrote their first automated machine learning fraud detector. Before that, he has also worked at Twitter on large scale data visualization & analysis. Security and speed are top of mind when he created Novapay.
